Disney on Saturday! So long, cunts!

The COT Research Project

With our combined resources, there must be something we can research (aside from the width of PNII's puckering anus) that's interesting and worthwhile.

We even have a guy with a useless PhD and a rocket scientist working for the NASA.

the impact of an excess quantity of whitespace within a web forum posting?

What kind of project do you have in mind?

I was thinking more like "The effect of daily chalupa intake on coworker relations."

I would rather write some code...work out a project, chop it up into discrete pieces, get everyone who is involved to write their piece without reference to anyone else, and see how hard it is to put it together again at the end.

I would like to research how many times and which projects we come up with for CoT and how many times we never get interested.

"Research Project for CoT"
"Web ApplicationSSSSSSSSSSS Project for CoT"
"Upgrades for CoT"

I think the Secret Santa almost worked?
and the Cheddar Georges of the past.

We need something that requires almost no effort.  For example, you might say post at least 5 messages between the hours of 8am and 10pm.  And number them.

I guess the real problem is that we actually come here specifically _not_ to work.

if I ended up with responsibilities here as well, I would haveto start going elsewhere to procrastinate....

I've been thinking that we should invade another forum and post there just as if we were posting here. Give absolutely no reference to here, and then at the end of 24 hours, leave.

Thats a pretty good idea.

How about Joel on Software....hmm

We could spread Fight Club Like epithets.

yes, because making a random group of people feel hugely powerless and frustrated is a _really_ positive thing to do.

hey! I know! once we've done that, why dont we track down some older, single women on myspace and ring them up and abuse or threaten them?  twice the fun for only half the effort.

flash mob on forum sounds fun. especially if the forum has moderation. because all we need to do is to *look* like we're being on topic. this is especially easy with technology as most people don't know anything about other's tech areas.

so we come up with some glossary terms ('COBOL79' = 'world's hottest ass'). and then post away ...  "That COBOL '79 was definitely a good vintage; they just don't make them as well-rounded any more.".

We must do a jobs board.

Our motto could be...um...."Hire the crazy you know."

That's it. ForumFlashMobs.

Okay, the chain starts here. Starting tomorrow we post a forum, and that day we invade that forum. After a day or when they catch on, we get them in on the deal & they join us to invade the next forum.

Ooooh, a job board.

We should also create "on topic" forums. Partly for the irony, partly because we're typically 10 times smarter than those other people anyway.

AHA - you hear that, we need multiple forums and a job board.

oh gods.

thats it, Im officially embarrassed to be a member of CoT.

congratulations markTAW :)  who knew that you would be responsible for the final degradation.

seriously, couldn't you at least try to focus the forums malice to something a little less immature and pathetic?  mayebe we could all take pics of our poo or something instead and send them in to be judged?

"AHA - you hear that, we need multiple forums and a job board."

It would be VERY smart.  We could actually copy Joel in something worthwhile. Our mockery of him could be genuine, useful, and productive, rather than, uh, just mockery.
