Snow's remarks come about because:

>"Powell lent his support to three Republican senators Thursday saying that Congress must not pass Bush's proposal to redefine U.S. compliance with the Geneva Conventions, a treaty that sets international standards for the treatment of prisoners of war."
>"The world is beginning to doubt the moral basis of our fight against terrorism," said Powell, who served under Bush and is a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "To redefine Common Article 3 would add to those doubts. Furthermore, it would put our own troops at risk."

bush wants to redefine warcrimes and the geneva conventions. He'll hang, and so will all the other war criminals.

"I was only obeying orders" was heard at Nuremburg.
"I was only following the advice of legal counsel" will be heard at the war crimes trials of our politicians and troops.

In the spin zone:

>  Persons taking no active part in the hostilities

We define anyone we don't like as actively participating, so we have done nothing wrong.

>  The wounded and sick shall be collected and cared for.

Tuff love is just how we care for people.

> An impartial humanitarian body,

Impartial? They are all liberal do gooders who don't understand anything about the end times.
