On first look, it is some teen girl talking about her life. Boring. But it's more complex than it seems to be on first. You soon find out that she is homeschooled because her parents are satanists and her 'church' is grooming her for a very secret ritual that is only performed once in a great while, which involves ancient languages, her getting blood drawn, and having to take iron pills. One of the screenwriters is running a parallel story about a friend of hers who was mysteriously killed at a location in Angeles National Forest which was the site (in real life) of a fire caused by practitioners of ritualistic animal sacrifice. This site has now been the location of a real life drop off of important clues to the story arc, which means it is probably an 'alternate reality game'.
