the difference between programming mac os x and windows

the single biggest difference is that if windows software wants to be stylish, it _must_ use custom UI elements.  If mac os x software wants to be stylish, it _should_ use the OS provided UI elements.

on mac os x, it takes an effort to look non-stylish.

thats why I love programming on it :)
