TI-83 Plus

I'm too lazy to read the instruction book.

I've downloaded chess to my TI-83 plus calculator.  How do I find it to play it?  What keys?  I press progrm and that just lets me create my own.

Hmmm.  I clicked the APPS button but it doesn't show up in the list.  I know it downloaded so it is on there somewhere...

Ok, now that I've skimmed several readme's, instruction booklets, online tutorials, not a ONE of them says what button to push to select the damn program.

I often read the subject on the main page with the poster's name all together. Sometimes it makes sense.

In this case, TI-83 plus Sharkfish != a chess program, apparently...

Welp, I found out where it sticks the program.  Under the PRGM button.  But the ones I downloaded weren't there.  They went into another folder. So the question is, how to navigate folders on TI-83.

There are no folders in the ti-83. You have applications and you have programs. Programs are generally the one off basic applications you code...the blue apps button should have it listed. If not, it could be a special program that requires a third party OS. It may also be archived...in which case 2nd->mem->5

No, ACD.

The programs go to RAM or to Archive.  They are not accessible in Archive.

Depending on the program, it can go to something called "Groups" or a folder like that, or some other folder I can't remember the name of.

If it plops into one that the Prgm button can see, you are all good.  If not, oh well.

Apps button only gives me standard programs that come with it.

Anytime I plop in a new program, it goes to the Prgms button.

I think you have trouble reading. Nowhere did I say you could access archived programs without first unarching them.

Typically, most of the games I've seen require something like MirageOS. ( http://www.detachedsolutions.com/mirageos/ ) Which is accessed via the apps menu after installed.

I have no idea what you're talking about with respect to a groups folder. You can access the groups packages under 2nd->mem->8

I don't care about your rambling.  I just want to execute a program.  ;p
