Decent camcorder
My camcorder is not suffering from pink-eye, but the blue-eye. It goes blue all of the time. I've been using it for about 3 years now. I guess I need to get a new one.
Any ideas? Apart from skullfucking eyesockets, naturally.
Any specific filming? Price range?

I bought the cheapest Mini-DV camcorder that Costco had a couple years ago and it's been perfect. Canon ZR 100 or something like that. Easy to use, picture quality seems good, it's survived trips to Rome and Disneyland, battery life is ok, trivial to transfer stuff from the camcorder to computer and then to DVD.

I bought a Sharp view-cam DV camcorder a few years ago. The ergonomics aren't so good, but the picture quality is excellent.
My advice would be to concentrate on the quality of the lens and optical zoom, and ignore all the other gee-whiz features they try & sell you on.

Panasonic has a few inexpensive 3CCD camcorders that produce a much nicer picture than the 1CCD camcorders in the same price range.
