I dont seem to follow what he is doing with the javascript? how is adding <b> tags helping? hmm...all things considered I think I vaguely prefer the image approach, just because it will continue to work if the browser has javascript switched off. interesting though...it still feels like there should be a css only way to solve this. Here's his update
