Sounds like coolant was leaking into the engine - needs a new block. :(

and eventually made the problem worse, it plugs, but when the plug goes it leaves a bigger hole.

heh. as a youngster there was at least twice myself and associates 'stole' cars as a favour to friends and ensured that they would be written off by the insurance companies once they were found.

Surely there's a cliff out there it could accidentally roll over when you park it and the brake fails.
