Brilliant. A self-rebuilding chair.

Doesn't anyone else think that a chair that can blow itself apart like that is kinda stupid?

No. Not stupid. Imagine having to dismantle a whole Navy aviation squadron--tables, workshops, chairs, any equipment has to be broken down and crated for shipment to the next base.
Now you have to unpack it and set it up again.
The idea is good. The implementation looks a little slow, but it the beginning.
Didn't I see something like that on "The Iron Giant"? Neat to see it in real life.
Plus, I'd like to see an analysis of how much torque they had to control to have the chair 'raise' itself like that. Brilliant.
