Maybe you should pocket your Microsoft ambition and just open a couple 7-11's? It seems to work out really well for your countrymen here in Connecticut.
That or go work for an AOL call center.
I am not here, so I am not listening. Faggot!

Muppet, you forgot to mention motels. But his name isn't Patel either.

Hurrah for overly broad and essentially meaningless racial sterotypes couched as jokes!

Absolutely not, though I fully expected someone to make that comment.
There are approximately 25 convenience stores (7-11's or similiar) within driving distance of my home, and all but one are owned AND staffed by individuals of Indian descent. There's nothing racist about saying that it seems pretty common for Indian people to open convenience stores, because it is common.
It may just be a ces of some flavour of observer bias. The ones owned and operated by white folk don't enter your consciousness, but the ones with "others" in will stick in your mind (whether you mean them to or not -- recognising "otherness" is one of those prehistoric basal ganglia type reactions...)
ces=case (plus lots of beer)
Nope, Mat. That's a tired, dismissive, and condescending argument. I know what I see, I don't dismiss white folks just because I don't expect them. I've been living in this area for nigh on 26 years and I know who owns what store and what they look like by this time. :-)
