Sanding our assholes with 150 grit.

update your notes - global warming is now "climate science"

If you are skeptical of the lack of evidence regarding global warming since temperatures are going both up and down, shut up. There is no such thing as global warming, we are now calling it climate change, the climate changes, wait, no, not climate change, climate science, you are against climate science, which means you are against science which means you is a dummy.

The biggest tell is about the NYT:
--
Heartland did declare one two-page document to be a forgery, although its tone and content closely matched that of other documents that the group did not dispute. In an apparent confirmation that much of the material, more than 100 pages, was authentic, the group apologized to donors whose names became public as a result of the leak.
--

The 2 page "strategy" document is the one the greenies are all hot under the collar about - the rest is all incredibly dry stuff about budgets.

And the 2 page "strategy" document is an obvious forgery.  Yes it makes a few references to things in the dry documents (but adds no new facts), but it has all the cackling pantomime we-are-evil-and-we-know-it money quotes about stopping teaching of science and stuff.

Apart from the tone NOT matching the rest at all - it's full of grammatical errors and oddities that aren't in the other documents, is a different version of PDF, created in a different way, with the wrong dates, wrong fonts, and obvious omissions - I amazed that anybody would not think it a forgery - it's not much better than a Nigerian 419 letter.

The only reason the NYT, Guardian and BBC, who now all know it's a forgery, can't quite bring themselves to admit, is it hits all the green buttons that they want to believe.

Next you'll be telling me that Dan Rather was wrong about MS Word being available in 1969 to make those George Bush docs.

Blast from the past.

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/12526

Government needs to stop citizen journalism so we have a consistent, nonconfusing message for the people.

The Constitution guarantees the freedom of the press, but no where does it say the government can't license journalists to keep the people safe, just as it requires gun licensing.

Wow, thanks for the tip about the forgery Moby, I hadn't even picked up that subtlety since the articles are so much pushing that there's a conspiracy.

But you are right, everything they are criticizing is coming from a document that is a blatant forgery. Shows the NYT and all the blogs pushing this are not to be trusted.

The real question is how many forgeries are out there that are not as obvious? Given that they are accepting obvious forgeries, as they did with Rather, the chances they will be critical towards less obvious forgeries is nil.

If it's not replicatable, it's bullshit and not science.

Here's there's collection of stolen financial documents, along with the forged one.

Protocols of the Elders of Zion probably contains a few accurate references/quotes from the Talmud. Doesn't change the fact that the overall document is trash and a fraud.

I'm amazed that NYT ad others, are openly using the argument "a few accurate references" to justify using an obvious fake document.  And I'm amazed that others in their camp, are using "well, yes it's fake, but they probably would have said that kind of thing in their real documents".

This leak/hack really has been quite revealing... about who lies and who has absolutely no morals & ethics.

Further proof it's a fake.

Koch did get $25K to Heartland (which is in the budget, non-fake)

But the fake strategy document says it was for climate denial - it was for health stuff -  http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/02/leaked-docs-from-heartland-institute-cause-a-stir-but-is-one-a-fake/253165/
