I think he has a good case... Google street view comes very close to crossing all sorts of privacy lines. But if google pays out they are opening the door to all sorts of Google street view related law suites. This will be an interesting one to watch.

It's a nice service.. it would be shame to loose it.

Only in Europe could he get away with this. He's in a public place visible from the street. Anything you do within view of a public street is not subject to a right to privacy.
