Y'all are a bunch of wankers!

$25: the State of CT will give you anyone's criminal history

So if you want my arrest record, you only need my date of birth.

Except that the charges in my case were dropped, so I'm not sure the arrest record still exists.

I wonder if it's as easy in other places.

It would be easier if you just tell us :)

Or one of us uses public resources to divulge non-private but personal information. :-)

Yeah, you can tell me by email. Since you trust me as a brother, you can be certain I won't release any of your personal information. :)

What if we passed around a hat for those $25? Cutting out the middle man, the arrestee could keep the whole processing fee.

Some states plan to color code license plates by criminal history.

Good thing nobody here has ever done that.

The library probably has several newspapers on microfish.

Some of the really hi-tech ones actually have them in electronically searchable formats. You can search the court docket sections rather quickly in that case.

It's funny how gender plays a role in things. I bet if I acted like a girl you'd all be nicer to me.

Gee, Maxine, I would've thought you'd have noticed by now.

I'm just curious where your gender remark came from.  It's way out of left field in this thread.

If memory serves a Criminal Records Bureau check is £10 in the UK, but due to reasonable data protection laws there are limits on who can obtain a CRB check.

Due to our work as foster carers and my daughter's work as a gymnastics coach everyone everyone in my home over the age of 14 has been CRB checked.  It's worth remembering that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act doesn't apply to a CRB check;-)

I'm sure there are similar capabilities in other jurisdictions...
