Get offered a cool job, do you take it?
I friend of my mine got into a cool company and said he really wants me to work for this place (cough, cough redhat). I know what will happen. I will put lack luster interest in and then wait months in anticipation only to be rejected.
(Same thing happened with MS).
So, I will probably just say, nah, have a fun time.
This is one of those drapes not matching the carpet things?
'Cause the title doesn't match content of the post.

Right. I could title a post "Get offered Jessica Alba, do you take it?"
But you haven't really been "offered", have you?
Sounds like your either not convinced it's a cool job or that you're not convinced you're qualified for the position. If you think it's a cool position, for all means go for it, all they can do is turn you down and you might get a free trip to Raleigh out of the deal.
redhat isn't that cool.

Shoot, I would go for Redhat, you betcha.
Even if it's a couple years away from relatives, it will glow on the resume, or 'float up in the air' as Joel would say, methinks.
If you are 30 or so, what are you worried about?
