Hmm, random observation:

That's not Code Complete.  That's my daughter's desk.  Couldn't tell you what that paper is.

Wow.  Good picture.

It's almost like that Star Trek episode with the half-white half-black guys.  One is white with black highlights, the other is black with white highlights.

They make a nice pair, actually.

People have regretted that kittens (so cute and playful!) grow up to be cats (Yeah?  What you lookin at?).  Personally, I'm able to appreciate all parts of a cat's life cycle.

Except for the spraying and scratching of furniture and peeing in the corners if poorly trained.  But having them
'fixed' at the right time handles most of that.  And cleaning their litter box regularly handles the rest.

I like cats.

Oh they're great cats.  I love them.  They don't spray, they barely scratch, and their temperament is excellent.

I still feel a little guilty about introducing a puppy into their lives.  Poor guys.

Well, true, but it is a small, cute puppy.  Almost a kitten of a puppy, you might say. ;-)

Is "Sushi" the puppy still smaller than Willis and D.D?  And if they haven't eaten him by now, I think he's safe.

He's actually getting a little too aggressive with THEM, sometimes.

He's about equal their size now.  He's going to training classes soon.  DumDum and Emmy have learned to put him in his place with a quick slap on the nose, but Willis (the white guy on the chair) stupidly tries to play with the dog and always loses the game.

It's actually very sweet of Willis to try to play with Sushi rather than smack him, and it's just the sort of thing you'd expect Willis to do (he's the most friendly, tolerant cat ever) but I'm worried that Sushi is gonna break his head one of these days.
