Y'all are a bunch of wankers!

18% of Texans are recent victims of stalking

Surely this can't be right? 18% of people have been stalked within the last two years?

> The 18 percent who reported being stalked reported an overall 453 stalking incidents over the 24 months covered by the survey. The most frequent instance was repeated telephone calls, reported by 35 percent of victims, followed closely by 34 percent of victims who said their stalker stole items from their house, car or workplace.

> Others reported getting threatening phone calls, being spied on at home, having their vehicle tampered with, having unwanted contact with their stalker who waited for them outside their home or work and getting their house, car or business broken into by their stalker.

I guess though, thinking about it, there is a woman who has broken in to my garage and stolen things, and made phone calls, sent unwanted weird letters, and that sort of thing, but this was 2002-2004, so I'm not in the 2 most recent year window.

So maybe the numbers are correct.

Maybe the Texans saw "repeated threatening phonecalls" on the survey and thought "well, I ain paid mah electricity bill and they keeps on calling me".
