They sent me a letter I got yesterday. My hood no longer has basic cable, except for local stations. Anything else requires a digital box, and a very steep fee. This includes freaking TNT, FX, USA, Bravo, A&E.
I'm really getting angry. So now I can't watch TV in my living room because all the channels I would watch require the digital box. I got one for the bedroom because I really wanted History International and SciFi channels.
When I go postal, you'll know why. It's all stacking up, little by little.
> It's all stacking up,
WTF? I though you were happy now. What happened?

WTF? Did you miss yesterday's diatribes?
Now that I think about it, the timing is too coincidental... sharkfish is the one threatening Kathy what's-her-name.

sharkfish, I'm still puzzled as to why you went looking for winky pics. It just seems so wrong. I thought you were a todger dodger?

We've got Time Warner. The sweet deal that they have is that they both provide the content, and distribute it.
So every year when the cable rates go up, they can point to the high cost of programs. Which.... are also owned by them.

Hmmm. A gray hair here tells me my landlord must allow the DirecTV people to install a satellite dish if it is possible to do so.
Must investigate that.
Satellite dishes aren't allowed in my complex, but I'd estimate 10% of the apartments have them anyway. I guess it depends on how much the management cares, which is usually not much if it doesn't bring them money.
My bitch about Comcast is how they creep the fees up every month or two. So far I just cancel services to make up the difference, but I'm all out of those.
