RIP Philo

I'm starting a new job

What amazed me was how easily I found the new job.  I guess the industry is improving.  Either that, or my resume looks a lot better now that I have .Net experience on it.  Or that I'm able to apply for "minimum 5 yrs experience" type positions.

Probably all of the above.

Don't discount that now that you've had a few jobs, you've become more comfortable with the interviewing process.

Market has been in an upswing for 18 months. Selling at the top (in this case your services) always feels good.

Congrats especially because I think I recall previous threads from you about a crazy esimation process that put off a "bad job" vibe.

zed is also seeking employment.  shhh.  I pleased to learn that people are still using C++ and no one actually knows it.

yeah, the estimates they wanted me to provide for was on modifying code that i'd never seen before.  it turns out that project got approved, and someone else will have to develop the changes based on my ill-informed estimates.  LOL.
