The most hated family in americaIs this for real or some sort of weird BBC April 1st joke!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2fUyJQgRuM http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/6507971.stm I'd love to see Richard Dawkins square off against this troupe.
Anyoen see it on TV last night?
Fag enabler hahahaha That's pretty cool. I'd only seen brief news things that made them out to be low-IQ lunatics with poor hygiene, which after reading this, would appear to have been demonization.
Maybe demonization is unnecessary! After all Hitler had a winning smile and great charisma, as did Jim Jones of the People's Temple. I will say that their BELIEFS and their normal behavior are very common for evangelical Christians. Most evangelicals do have this belief about homosexuality, and I think they are entitled to it. Many religious people are polite and sweet and seem oh so nice, but then you find that they have cast out members of their family, and they will have NO tolerance for you if you ever say to them "Look, I just do NOT accept Jesus and never will." Once they have decided in their mind you are 'of the evil one', they will have nothing to do with you. The big difference with them is that they are so public with their beliefs, and instead of beating up gays, they go to the funerals of heterosexuals with signs saying the person died because ho was tolerant of gays and god hates that. Which is a bizarre and novel angle on this system. Wow, the video is incredible. The BBC is awesome. You'd never see journalism at this level in the US.
Really makes you stop and think about this. Before: "Oh yeah, those nut jobs in Kansas that protest soldiers. Ignore them, they are a tiny minority." After: "This is how many of the highly religious are. They can be smiling and buying you lunch and shaking your hand and working beside you, and they hate you and pray every night for you to die." |
