I know you don't really care for what happens here, but i HAD to share this.

Yesterday the governor of the capital city (D.F) announced that he already had signed a contract to provide free wireless to the whole city.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

OTOH, right now we are on vacation season. D.F. is in the middle of the country, so there are no beaches. Most people goes outside the city, mostly to the pacific so they can enjoy the beach...

Back to the story, 2 hours later, he presents another of his projects. He will make 4 artificial beaches for the people who don't leave the city.

Artificial beaches are quite ocmmon. People in Madrid got so tired of hearing jokes about the Costa del Manzanares that they made one.

Ohh and forgot the last one.

Yesterday also, the governor and some of his employees tried to stimulate (is that a word?) the usage of the bicycle. Of course, being the governor, he ride with 20 bodyguards, without respecting the signals, his Security officer fell of the bicycle for being too fat...

Ohh boy...

But we have beaches!! =D

We'd love to have those "problems" are priorities. The city is pretty convoluted and has lots of problems. One of the biggest one the heavy transit in most principal streets.

But then again, we have beaches!!

Yeah. Those are nothing more than pools which surely will be removed once the vacations are over.

But they were announced as "beaches".

What once was an empty lot with two above-ground pools and some potted palm trees... is now a beach.

The best part of the one in Japan is that it's 200 meters from the shore.
