Where Russian "intelligence" is a credible thing (as opposed to being a mouthpiece for a government that makes Bush and thugs look like schoolkids).

Fascinating stuff over there. Oh, but they apparently missed Iran's comment that-

"Ahmadinejad asked Blair not to "punish" the crew for confessing that they had been in Iranian waters when they were seized by Iranian coast guard. Iran broadcast video of some of the crew giving confessions, angering Britain.

He also criticized Britain for deploying Turney in the Gulf, pointing out that she is a woman with a child.

"How can you justify seeing a mother away from her home, her children? Why don't they respect family values in the West?" he asked of the British government."

Ah well, details. He appears to be an opponent to the US, so he is a great man. Just like Putin and Chavez. All great men!

The British crew will recant their under duress confession and it will make Iran look like a bully. To the West at least. Muslim countries won't allow its folks to see the recanting and so will think Iran was doing the right thing.
