In hospital
I was in hospital today, getting my body 'bone scanned'.
After 15 minutes, lying under the camera, the operator told me to go empty my bladder before the next scan.
While I was getting this done I was wondering "why did she tell me to go take a leak?".
The answer is quite simple... My entire body was on the monitor. My skeleton, bladder and the rest was seen there.
BTW in that room, there are two monitors, one next to a PC for the operator and another, viewable also from where the patient lies.

Bone scans suck. Long periods of lying in awkward positions. I felt like a rusty hinge when I left mine.

Why does one undergo a bone scan?
Suspected cancer?

For me it was to check for bone density to see if I was developing osteoporosis from steroid use (I was).
I'm not sure what else it's useful for.

Superman did that to me once. Freaked me out.
