Something that seems to be overlooked here is that since Columbine officials have broken up a lot of plots that would have come out like Columbine.  On the whole I think we've gotten a lot better at it.  Unfortunately, this time the nut was just a little more determined and clever than the watchers.

its funny, with some problems it becomes obvious that every possible solution is a bad one.  in those cases it usually means you are looking in entirely the wrong direction for a solution.  just occasionally, of course, it means you are fucked.

There was a two hour gap between two of his shootings. I don't think the response would have had to be that great.
