I honestly have no idea. I assume that because I wear wedding/engagement rings, I broadcast "unavailable" and therefore nothing I do is flirting, except maybe with my husband. I was always bad at these things though.

Flirting implies some sort of sexual or romantic interest, or just having fun pretending that such interest is possible (like when two people flirt who are partnered to other people, but are just having a good time with no intention of cheating).

Sure. People flirt all the time without it going beyond words and a bit of body language.
