who do you want more
The one who has sex with you whenever you want it.
Or...
The one who has sex with you sometimes, unpredictably.

which sex is better?

Depends a lot on the person you're having it with, no matter whetber you can predict whether sex will happen or not. You can have an unpredictable lousy lover, or vice versa.

the sex is equally good.

THe guys at work say only women want someone who isn't available. Men just want sex. I believe the phrase describing the phenomena is "Women want the hunt, men enjoy eating the kill."
And then I said "but in my experience..." and then they proceeded to invalidate everything I said after that. Since I am female, somehow that makes me incapable of understanding the value of regular, predictable ejaculation.
Just answer the question don't ruin the fun!

what are you reading for?

"Men want what they can't have," while seeming to defy all observed logic, goes to explain a LOT of wars, bloodshed, and other aberrant behavior recorded through history.
Of course, I had a problem with the article about the rat study - it didn't mention if the rats willing to have sex all the time were fatties.

Did they base this rat study on many sets of rats, or just one rat threesome? Because maybe the male rat just happened to be more attracted to the more remote female by happenstance. Maybe she had bigger teats, or something.

I've been in this situation, so I understand the rat. You know that feeling you get when you're in a brand new relationship? The raw passion of it? It's that sort of thing can be sustained by #2. It's not that the sex is better, but the passion is more intense.

Those sorts of questions are never qualified enough to answer.
The 500 lb bald woman with BO, smelly armpits, and scabs and fungus in the skin folds who has sex with you whenever you want it.
Or...
Salma Hacyk, who has sex with you sometimes, unpredictably.

Variable uneven response is a big part of control. So you'll probably want #2.

Which one will you be happier with? #1.
Which one will you "want" more? #2.
There's nothing like unpredictable periodic satisfaction to activate that "crazy desire" gene.
But living with your "crazy desire" gene activated is not fun 90% of the time. The other 10% is incredible, yes, but not worth the chaos the rest of the time.
Which one will you get tired of all the BS first? #2.

Sounds like a reason to have a wife a multiple mistresses. The wife for #1 and them mistresses for #2
Billx

True, but sadly that situation can be very unstable. What if one of the mistresses has a child? What if one of the mistresses wants to be #1?

Nice distinction.
