I bet AA has moderation working by tomorrow.
If not, he'll have the forum up on subversion, and I'll add it.

Im willing to put some effort in tomorrow as well if its needed.

I've got to change the data model to support a few things we need (searching, moderation, etc). It's way to basic right now.
I also don't want to release the source until I can clean it up a bit.

Put the data model in subversion as a SQL extract and we can make modifications as part of our contributions via ALTER TABLE scripts and such.
I don't care if your source is messy, man, I just wanna fix it. :-)

"I also don't want to release the source until I can clean it up a bit."
Ah...been there done that. Just let it out and relax about worry what people will think. Everyone thinks everyone else's code is garbage anyways, so it's useless trying to avoid it.
yeah, dont stress over the quality. you get props for the fact it works so bloody well regardless :)

" clean it up a bit."
Clean it up? Man, it's php... kinda pointless, no?
"Just let it out and relax about worry what people will think."
I'm not worried about what people thing, I just want to get some changes in before everyone else!

bastard
we need moderation STAT, bitch!
:-)
PHP can be written very cleanly, Haren, you prick. :-)
By the by, is this thing in 4.3.x or 5.x? :-)

now Java, there's a language!
[g, d, r]
4.3.x. I do have a 5.x server but that seemed a bit overkill.
There are a few CORE issues that need to be solved. I worry about too many cooks in the kitchen. In any case, if I have time tonight I'll throw it into subversion and you can all play with it. I have to get my local database root password out of the code too...

Well I don't know how subversion works, but can't there be a head guy who either accepts or rejects changes? Wouldn't that be you?

man, that's weird... when the hell *does* muppet sleep?
Wait three or four hours and ask again. Then your surprise could be justified.

oh...before you make anything available remember that there appear to be some hostiles amongst us....so dont leave anything open that you dont want some geek to piss all over...

Yep. We're probably creating some liability, opening it up so early. Maybe AA should sit on it for a while after all.
But we still need moderation.

Yeah, I'll be the head buy to accepts or rejects changes. I won't be doing too much coding in the next little while (so busy with other projects) so it will work out well.
However, it's best if just a single person gets in there and makes some critical changes first otherwise there will be duplicated effort.
I'm basically going to stay out of it (as soon as I get the code online). I have some ideas of my own but they might have to wait until next week.

Whoever wants access to the site repository email me with a suggested username (8 chars or less) and a password. I'll set up an authenticated subversion site and email you the details for access.
