Sanding our assholes with 150 grit.

Oprah

Wow. I've never seen anyone get completely dressed down on TV by a celebrity for so long, and in such a humiliating way.

James Frey looks absolutely pitiful.  He even stuttered like a hen-pecked cowardly man.

Oprah castrated Jimmy boy.

At most Oprah should have devoted 5 minutes to his humiliation.  Doing a whole show on it is just freaking awful.

Oprah. Minus minus.

He's the guy who exaggerated one or two facts in his book Million Little Pieces.

Had to be done. <applause>

Books should be known to be either fact or fiction.

But he's made his money. He'll live.

The best fiction includes matters of fact (even if its just the Law of Conservation of Energy), and the best factual books necessarily have some element of fiction.

She had to only because she had been humiliated by association.  She doesn't *actually* give a damn.

True.  But for the first time, I saw that Martha Stewart side.  Woe to those who work for her and fuck up.  Oprah is a hero of mine and an example of "no excuses" success.  On the other hand, I had a healthy dose of reality watching her and experiencing first hand in her offices what it might be like to have to deal with fame and maintaining a reputation.
