Dreamliner vs A350
Dreamliner is a very beautiful airplane, much sexier than other passenger aircraft. Currently it is the fastest selling aircraft in history.
However, from the chinese number point of view:
Dreamliner = 787
--> 7 + 8 + 7 = 2 2
--> 2 + 2 = 4
4 is bad number for chinese
(It contained number 8 in the middle, so it might negate the effect of bad luck)
A350
--> 3 + 5 = 8
8 is the lucky number

Both of your points are completely retarded.
These things cost way too friggin much for their visual aesthetics and the numerology of their model numbers to be a part of the purchase decision.
In no situation is some ignorant slant eyed racist caricature of a chinamen going to point a greasy chopstick at either one of these 120 million dollar planes and say 'me want me want'.
It just doesn't work like that.

But 7 + 8 - 7 = 8, so it *is* lucky.

Except Boeing was very careful to announce the 787 on July 8th, 2007 -- 7/8/7
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
So the number DO make some difference. The '4' thing is over the top, though.

They announced the 787 name on 7/8/7? Alright.
The plane itself had been announced years ago. :P
Okay -- "Release" it? What did they do on 7/8/7?

Ah, forgive me. 7/8/7 is the "Premier" of the 787 -- the "initial Roll-Out Event".

I skimmed the video of the roll-out, boring boring boring.
