took him 4 years to notice?
"Anything that doesn't fit into the political appointees' ideological, theological or political agenda is ignored, marginalized or simply buried," Dr. Richard Carmona, who served as the nation's top doctor from 2002 until 2006, told a House of Representatives committee.

Amazing how the Bush supporters are suddenly "realizing" what's going on, now that it might lose them power in the next election.

Ermmm...this is **exactly** the perfect strategy for the Republicans to get back in power again -- toss Bush to the wolves.

Their cynicism is appalling and give me no hope that any of them have our interests at heart.

The system is set up to engender cynical, manipulative, scheming behavior. That's how they act even when they start out as nice people.

The system is set up to control, contain, and confine anyone who displays a hint of stupidity in the population at large. If you are smart enough to realize this, you are either part of the system already, or you are its mortal enemy. Better watch out.

Instead of standing up to the administration on a per case basis as Koop did with Clinton on needle exchange programs, or Reagan with AIDS, Carmona became Bush's subservient lapdog, and now is coming out with the mudslinging *after* he was not re-appointed for a 2nd term. This does nothing for his credability.
His term affected issues such as: stem cell research, global warming, sex education and contraceptives, prison, mental, global health.
"So what is it exactly that you *DO* here, Mr. Carmona?"
