okay, place your bets onWhether or not her management condones this behavior in private, but pissed on her in public because she got caught:

She goes swimming at the guy's house so journalistic integrity is compromised? What? Exactly. She didn't do anything really that bad except instead of putting on a bathing suit to get info out of a potential story source, she was supposed to wear a suit instead.
Her crime was getting caught on camera doing the news the way everyone already does it (IMHO). It was embarassing to her management only because she got caught on camera looking like she might be romancing the husband of the missing wife for more info. And it's even more juicy news! It's a wonder she isn't being immediately promoted!
Or maybe she is and it's all a ploy. being prepared to interview on day off ... 5% raise
swimming around in bikini to nab story ... 10% raise bringing your two toddlers over to a potential murderer's house ... priceless If this guy becomes a suspect in the murder of his wife, one thing they're going to look at is "was he having an affair?"
A reasonable line of inquiry then turns to the woman who took her kids swimming at his house while his wife was missing. She just became a material witness in a potential murder investigation. She's tainted the case and invited gag orders and injunctions on the newspaper, as well as putting her editors in the wonderful position of fighting a first amendment case when her notes are subpoenad. If I was her boss, I'd be pissed too. |
