Professional Software, note the spelling
"“Although you have successfully registered this copy of WinSQL, your 30-day trial period has not ellapsed.”
just an observation.

Two L's in ellapsed?
If it wasn't a developer tool, I'd be very surprised if anyone noticed.
I think devs could be good editors. After doing it a bit you do get keen on catching the smallest of typos.

my spelling error noticing skills were stellar for years and years. till Word was conjoined to my email client, and red line became a powerful crutch. but then I with gmail/web 2.0, i started writing most stuff in textboxes, and my skills returned.
but now with firefox 2.0, it's all over. i'm completely reliant on the red dots for spelling.
(I just spelled out ellapsed in this textbox to see what the correct spelling is.)

Funny, this is an upgrade of a pretty stable piece of software (not opensource at all). And this is the first message that pops up. Surprised nobody saw it.

Hehe, I imagine Philo would be entertained by your juxtaposition of stable to open source. ;)
Bot, you're one of the worst spellers on this board.
Hopefully you're proofreading the writing you do in your real job more than the stuff you post here.
I'm just sayin'.

Exactly. it isn't so much about one persons ability to correctly spell. I am just pointing out how software gets out to users without being thoroughly tested. My last place, we had a point by point list of spelling checks to go though. Every word, every edit field, every date.
Also, Flasher T made a good point about getting technical writes involved.

I don't understand the message. What are they trying to communicate? You bought the software and they are saying your free trial isn't over?!? What does that matter?

Thank you for not violating that law that says all spelling flames must contain at least one error!
