Yeah, yours was more productive than mine.
I hope to get some code written today. Hope.

Aaron, good to have you back. I wanted to write some code. Really wanted to. Didnt happen

What kind of work?

My new job is RoR, in Walla Walla, WA.
I know almost nobody here.
Aaron

Walla Walla. Cool. How the heck did you end up in Walla Walla?
rocco

Found a job. :)
Cool people, good pay, nice town.

I would be taking a trip to Portland for the day. Sight-seeing.
Or go to Puget Sound or something.
"Cool people, good pay, nice town."
are you moving there?

I've been here since the 26th. Got an apartment on the 1st.
The hard part, really, is not seeing my kids. :(

Cool and you are doing rails which is good. I guess you have given up on the mainstream stuff. Wish I could do that. I would really like a python/django position.
And I have never, ever been to the North West, hope you have a good time.

I've never been mainstream. Sometimes that's good, sometimes bad. In Indiana, it's generally not so good.
This is a nice town, but a bit small. I have no idea where I'd go to meet eligible women, for example.

Thank goodness people on reddit mean zero to me, and I don't read any of it. ;-D
I got like 10 lines of code written today, BUT, it was a critical part, and I tried like a hundred things while picking up my level of BASH scripting doing it - which had been quite weak. They use Bourne shell at my work, so even then, I don't quite pick up BASH.
Oh, and like an hour of tv followed by an hour burst of code-writing. That seems to be a pattern that works before I get into it.
I'm glad you went running Bot. You will feel better.
I was going to sit on my ass all day and watch my Netflix pile. Instead, I ran around the park for an hour and did squats and divebombers until I couldn't breathe. Now I feel like a million bucks.
I could molest 10 women right now.
Blarrgh, I wish I had your discipline, sharky.

Aaron

LOL.
...
Anyway, the discipline isn't always there.
I have to focus and meditate and visualize, constantly, to stay on track.
Nothing as motivating as results, however.
I've been doing pushups and situps when I get up lately. Considering getting a weight bench and weights and setting it up next to my bed. Roll out and do a few sets.
Waiting til payday, though. I have to really watch my money right now.

My Saturday: Take kids of park. Breakfast. Beach. Home. Kids nap. Fuck. Nap. Starbucks. Groceries. Cook dinner. Legos. Bath time. Internets.

You know, today seemed pretty mundane until you said that. Thanks. It was a good day.

If that seems mundane, then you have a really good life.

Geez, Aaron, big jump. If we drive to Vegas in the next couple months, maybe I'll be able to stop and meet you: our route goes through Kennewick.
