I have heard it all
http://www.redding.com/news/2007/jul/13/drug-czar-gives-warning/
"John P. Walters, President Bush's drug czar, said the people who plant and tend the gardens are terrorists who wouldn't hesitate to help other terrorists get into the country with the aim of causing mass casualties"
"Don't buy drugs. They fund violence and terror," he said.
Really?

As shown earlier, Bush's appointees are given a script and pressured to follow it word for word.
You can blame him for his spinelessness, but not for the words he speaks- they were planted by a higher power at a higher pay grade.

Drugs that are smuggled internationally do support insurgency and terrorism, yeah. Obviously growing maryjane in your backyard doesn't.
The drug czar was probably trying to conflate the two without actually lying outright. Sorta like how they used to say 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentence a lot...

Guy is an idiot but what he says is not new. Government is in collusion with big pharma to force us into medical bankruptcy. Vitamins are under attack, organic farming is under attack, people with their own wells are regarded with suspicion, there is talk of monitoring their wells for water flow, or forcing them to accept government water polluted with industrial flouride toxins, people are sued when GMO companies plant GMO crap next to their farms and then sue the farmer when the GMO seeds blow in. Add it all together and it means the government wants control of your health and your money. You will be a slave or you will die.

I wonder if the terrorist in Glasgow the other week who set himself on fire was high on pot. In which case, we should be growing tons more.
