what the red-staters really want to say
"Now that this barrier has been broken - everyone agrees the Muslims are devouring the French, and everyone agrees it's funny - the usual suspects are quickly rounded up. Jimmy Carter is "almost a traitor". John McCain is "crazy" because of "all that torture". One of the Park Avenue ladies declares that she gets on her knees every day to " thank God for Fox News". As the wine reaches the Floridian, he announces, "This cruise is the best money I ever spent.""
Heh. Welcome to hell.
WTF is wrong w/ you? This time it's a big red throbbing repost dildo of the post immediately below.

Repost, but what the hell.
The problem with being motivated by fear, and 'black and white', 'us and them', 'good and evil' thinking, is that killing those who disagree with you becomes 'a good idea'.
As has been repeatedly demonstrated, every human being carries within themselves the seeds of "us and them", "my tribe vs. 'the other'" thinking. Most human beings can be seduced by appeals to "We're the best! They're the worst!"
It's a triumph of American Democracy that even though people have these urges and desires, the checks and balances built in to the American system tends to reduce their implementation. It does not eliminate it, sadly. We still had the Kennedy brothers assassinated, Nixon and his plumbers, the Klu Klux Klan (now in remission).
This is why we need the Fairness Doctrine, actually. Because the way you fight people who've bought into distorted propaganda is to expose them to the truth -- NOT expose them to more propaganda distorted in the other direction.
This brings up, how do you find what is really true? But I think that's a much healthier point of view and a much healthier question than "how do we convince people to agree with our point of view".

Just out of curiosity -- why aren't you posting this on SuperFriends?

oops. 2x in one day. Damn I'm all the way dildo.
Shut up Allan, you were apparently part of the problem in the first place, don't start it up again.

If you are going to the trouble of posting, it's more rewarding if some people actually read it.

Allan doesn't understand exactly what a back-stabbing two-faced passive-aggressive instigator is.
That's okay though. Most of us are quite (sometimes willfully) ignorant of the very things we find despicable in ourselves but can always point out everyone else's faults.
You don't have any faults, my dear 1/2 friend.

I am quite sad to see the arguments betwen sharky and the other blah folks.
But I don't have the facts, so I'll shut up.

What's sad is that none of the fuckers in question apologized.
They know who they are.
I'll give you constructive criticism once our relationship has grown to the 3/4 mark.
We can skip months of tiny interchanges on here to achieve that.
Just email me that torso shot you promised awhile back.

But Sharky, I have your glowing example to point to. I still don't understand (from your point of view), though?
Ah, well, there's just some things I'll never understand.
July 17th, 2007 3:27pm
It seems simple, just take everyone at face value. If someone says X, why go into depth something that they "implied". He said "X", but what he really meant is, blahha, blahahal.
I never understand why people do that.
"But Sharky, I have your glowing example to point to. I still don't understand (from your point of view), though? "
Smart people who behave obtusely, as if they don't understand basic human values, are not worth my time. I'm sure you feel wonderful when people don't communicate with you directly, talk behind your back, and in your face, behave as if nothing went on. If that's okay with you, you're an idiot, plain and simple. Nothing else that went on matters.
