Your input is appreciated. err ... the hosting provider should provide reasonable nightly backups, etc.
I use godaddy for a small charity site. It's been reliable (I have a pinger on it), and it's something like $40/year. No backups, but I just keep a copy of the website.
"Can it hose asp/asp.net pages"
I sure hope it can. ;-P Why do you need ASP for just a few pages?
www.PairLite.com - $100 a year, and unless you get slashdotted or don't know how to compress JPGs for the web and end up with a 100 mb thumbnail, more than enough bandwidth. She may need a few functionalities in the future who knows. I am not familiar with the fruity technologies such as php, Ruby On Rail and shit like that.
So there. Too bad, 99% of the web is built on fruity (even fruit showy) technologies like PHP ROR and shit like that.
I've been using http://freedombi.com. They're reliable, affordable and responsive. Their website absolutely sucks, but their servers and customer service are excellent. By way of full disclosure, I now work for this company part time, although I hosted with them long before I worked for them (n.b. this is not the boss I gripe about).
No ASP.NET, but if you need "fruity" features there are people on staff (some of whom look remarkably like me) who can implement features in those "fruity" languages. |
