The US is on the downslope of world domination.  It will probably take decades if not centuries, but we're headed down the loser path.  Now that we've abandoned our original mission in all but name, it's only a matter of time.

I've said it before.  This is not the country I grew up in.

Nixon America wasn't like this.  Nixon thumbed his nose at the Constitution, but he didn't actively attempt to eviscerate it.

Over the past six years I've watched the systematic weakening of our system of checks and balances, and what makes you think that Democrats winning in 2008 will somehow reverse that?  The new party in power will simply take advantage of their new-found strength.
