This is an interesting bit of history not many people know about. I learned about it throught the connection with Butler.
So now these same people own the media, installed favorable tax laws, and bought politicians to create war and higher oil prices.
Through modern mechanisms you simply don't need a coup anymore. Everyone will think they are free even though any objective outsider would laugh at that. The frog in the pot we are.

There already was a coup, in 2000. The impeachment mishegos was the Beer Hall Putsch.
