BookmarksI don't know why I bother with them, really. I mean, I've got so many "interesting things" bookmarked in Firefox that even if I could ever be bothered to click them and read them, it would take me until past the heatdeath of the Universe to get to the end. So why do I send myself links to home from work so that I can add them to the ever growing list? Maybe it is like stamp collecting - it serves no purpose but satisfies the duvet stuffer in me.
Same here. I've had like a bazillion bookmarks, forever, sorted them and everything. They are like brand new, unused furniture.
I bookmarked this one back in January
http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?108,33446,34909#msg-34909 So I can use it to create the SQL for stupid insert queries that require all the column names. It is under delicious/sharkfish/sql It saves me. I don't remember stuff I don't use. I like this bookmarks thing. I don't use bookmarks except for short-term things that I know I'll come back to, but don't want to leave a tab open to.
Sites I go to all the time either stay open in a tab or Firefox remembers it when I start to type it in. If I do some research and find a bunch of useful pages on a topic, I add them to a plain text file. |
