Yea, that sounds about right.  Except for with me, I spend 40% of time on the internet.  Except for today, I had to do work.  But here was my schedule.

9 - 11 - had to research problem
11 - 12 - surf web, tired of the database stuff

12-1:30 - Lunch at Indian restuarant (good)

1:30 - 3:30 - think, nothing, look at 7000k java class, surf web.

For me and probably others. I bet we surf the internet but inbetween tasks.  Eg, I may run a

i figure that browsing on the internet is still work since i'm a web developer.  it's a kind of UI research, isn't it?

in any case, it's nice to know i'm not alone.  i feel a little less guilty.

i got about 6 quality hours in today.  much better better than the 3-4 hrs i've been averaging this week.
