Someone actually said to me "female singers?  Huh?  That's for punks!"

So I asked again a few months later.  Same thing.  I've never heard of men not listening to singers/musicians just because they are female.

Anyway, WTF.  My male friends and family, completely straight, macho men, as it goes, have introduced me to some of the great female singers.

No understand.  Is this a trend among late 20's generation?
