Quite rightly too - if her pay hadn't gone down so far then the desired CEO:peon ratio would have resulted in real walking money for the CEO's aristobrats.

Pilots are even more demoralized than flight attendants. One of my pilot friends has 20 yrs experience flying the big jets as a captain. To keep his job, he had to accept a demotion to first officer, take a 80% reduction in pay, and the company gutted his pension plan, which is now gone, despite his making hefty contributions over the years. To congratulate themselves, the board voted the executives huge bonuses.

Believe me, fewer smart and talented people are going to flight school nowadays as a result. We'll see more air disasters in a few years.
