Im back, more depressed than ever
Good to be back. But I have a solution for my misery.
I will investigate and get back to you.
On another note...
I think sharkfish is right. Since a year ago, I never noticed race stuff, but then after reading CoT, I try to be a little bit more observant of it. On my trip, out of millions of people, I saw maybe 20-30 black people. Eg, on the plane, in the various locations. Normally retirees that saved up for 30 years to finally spend on a dumb trip to Orlando. Whatever, it was like 1 person of color to 10,000 people. There was an asian continent but clearly visiting the US on their yearly visit, probably not American. Not that it matters, but it I just never noticed the separatist nature of our country.
But lets ignore that, I could tourists and it just felt like the slow, dumb-witted, have 50 kids, middle America is taking over.
But there was some hope, after meeting and seeing billions of people, there was one guy I happen to glance at just 2 hours ago. He was on a tram thing, he looked like a professor, but not like the polo/dockers wearing dumb ass that I saw everywhere, but the guy with an elitist slant, sweater in the summer kind of guy. He was reading the book on George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. And not just reading it, but engaged in it. I was shocked, it completely threw my off. I wanted to say something, but didnt.
Never-mind, what I said is true. But, is it relevant. I dont know, who cares, disregard post.
Everyone's reading your post, trust me.
Also on the list, but noticeably absent until probably tomorrow are Ms. Pavel, and Mr. Mycrowsoft.

I hate bitching, like there is some kind of ultimate happiness out there for all Americas/Europeans/Else. I know we have all identified are issues at one point or another. But it looks like most of our issues stem from someone, somewhere, somehow getting in the way of our ideal of what should be normal.
Here is one thing. Like I said, I went out of my environment, I thought I would shoot the shit with some locals or tourists. Say hello, how is your local team doing, you know.
Talking with middle-america is apparently very difficult because as far as I can tell, english has been replaced with redneck-ish, thug-lish, spang-lish. Luckily, everyonce in a while you may listen in on a person from Europe and hear proper english.
"How is it going, where are you from?"
"Der, down, der from der Flrda, visit dem der Disney land"
............(can't compute, can't compute, wtf)
Is this at Disneyworld? I think Florida is one of the last places I would think to find middle-America.
I work next to the beach. Most people at the co. I work at can speak a second language, very intl. workforce. Then I step out onto the street in my business atire (tie), and I hear Russian, German, (insert funky language here) - tourists from all over (not many foreign Blacks now that I think of it, just home-grown ones).
The thing about computers, though, is they don't know my color, don't know if I'm ugly or good-lucking; It's irrelevant to the programming world.

My dream come true!!! Where is this utopia you speaketh of?
Bot, your communication problems aren't due to the kind of people you're meeting. I think you take your issues with you, and will run into them no matter where you go.

Bot you are such a honky.
And like Dana says, don't bring your baggage with you. Pretend like everything is great and it will be.
This doesn't really work, but that's what the powers-that-be tell us and so we must comply.
Back in line there darky, and pipe down.
"Pretend like everything is great and it will be."
Simply not focusing everything being bad is a better start.
