MS Outlook sucks, discuss
You know, it really is funny, I actually miss gmail during the day. It has those basic functions, "send", "delete", "view". Outlook is a monster, sometimes I have my good days. Somedays I have to spend an hour to format the simplest email. And I do a lot of copying pasting from the web, so that doesnt make matters any better.
Just thought I would share. I dont mind MS, but I sure mind this garbage.
There won't be a lot of posts as there's nothing to discuss. Outlook 2007 is whacked out of control. takes forever to open attachments, crashes once a day, eats up cpu and memory (for 15 minutes at a time) at the drop of a search query, all sorts of crap.

Why can't developers think simple like google. Look at google, simple, simple, simple, simple.
ahhhhhhh, cry, cry, cry. That is why I am here at 6:30 to get home at 7:30ish.
I actually like Outlook 2003, but you have to be in a pure exchange environment for it to work well. I don't use it for Archiving, because PSTs are just stupid, but it's pretty good as an email client used with some light calendar and contact management.
First rule, though, is to turn off as much fancy formatting as possible, read all email as plain text, compose in plain text, don't use stationary.

"Somedays I have to spend an hour to format the simplest email."
Don't exagerate. It's not that hard.
At least not that hard for a programmer...

"That is why I am here at 6:30 to get home at 7:30ish."
But then again, I shouldnt complain because ideally I am supposed to work till 6:30, because I get in about 9:15-9:20am.
Thanks for making me work a full 8 hours...outlook.
If you think Outlook sucks, you obviously have never suffered with Lotus Notes.
While the Notes back-end is impressive & extremely powerful, it's unfortunately saddled with a client that was designed by retarded Elbonians.
Remember, the first word in Notes is "No"

I like Outlook. The thing I dislike is that it to back up the .pst you have to copy the whole thing over after you've opened it.
