Doesn't everyone already know his IP address is NULL?

Everyone already knows my name and my email address is hardly confidential info.

Ok. I don't think Chrissy knew that stuff yet, but it's up to you if you want to make it easier for him.

I don't understand, did the real message actually have NULL in it?
Permalink ronk!

Yes, RONK. They sent the spam out without filling up the database with relevant info.
Permalink MarkTAW

Yep. All the NULLs are from the original message.

The most annoying part of the SPAM was that it was sent to a whole list of addresses, so it gives anybody who received the message a whole chunk of other people's email addresses.

Nice. Reminds me of the early days of spam when it was just a giant AOL CC list. I actually made friends with about half the people on my CC list.

That is truly sad, truly sad.

Hey, I'm deciding whether or not to invite some of those people to my sister's wedding.

Don't invite Sathy, he'll just hit on your sister all night.

I just realized (duh) that since the email was sent to a number of participants, they could not POSSIBLY have populated the NULLs with correct personal information. This means that the ridiculous message was deliberately sent just that way.

How in the Hell do they expect this to be the least bit effective? Morons.

And I get a "can't be found" error. Perhaps some sort of swift justice has been served?

"Don't invite Sathy, he'll just hit on your sister all night."

No, he'll do nothing, then profess his undying love for her, and then agaonize over whether or not her calling the cops on him meant she wasn't interested.

>>> And I get a "can't be found" error. <<<

This is due to the JoS fora spurious trailing non-printing character bug. Notice that the underline extends beyond the "m" at the end. Editing that off gets you to a real (or maybe not) web site.

"Do you fall into any of the following categories:
Bad credit?
Divorced?
Bankruptcy?
Repossession?"

That sounds like the sort of place that would be spamming.

It doesn't help that the instructions say "Surround URLs with spaces." SPACES. That's two or more.

Except that it appears to have your email address in it... The plot thickens.

And it sounds like the kinda site that muppet would be visiting. Did ya get any help? Enquiring minds wish to know.

Mark, how are you going to surround a url with *a* space?
