I've send three emails to folks in Rastern europe that wound up in the ether due to heavy spam filtering. This has not happened to me in mail sent to the US, Canada, or England.
Is there a greater level of spamming in Eastern europe, or is there just less tolerance for it?
Or is this too small a sample to be representative?

http://www.google.com/search?q=define%3AetherDefinitions of ether on the Web:
* a colorless volatile highly inflammable liquid formerly used as an inhalation anesthetic
* quintessence: the fifth and highest element after air and earth and fire and water; was believed to be the substance composing all heavenly bodies
* any of a class of organic compounds that have two hydrocarbon groups linked by an oxygen atom
* a medium that was once supposed to fill all space and to support the propagation of electromagnetic waves

(it usually means "the great bit bucket in the sky" or "lost")
Anyone have a link to that story about the experiment meant to prove that ether filled space and accidentally proved relativity instead (or v.v.)?

Ah, nevermind. "ether" and "relativity" in Google turn plenty of them up.
