Sanding our assholes with 150 grit.

I am special

"If you wanna move up in the world you need to learn to communicate and you need to learn to see the forest through the trees; a skill that is rarely found in engineering types."

Guess what. The person who wrote this is an engineer.

Just an observation.

You don't have to comment.

There's a special place for observations and it's called a blog. It's safe there; nobody will read it.

Here's an observation: Your (english) communication skills suck very bad. Have ever noticed that people often have no idea what the hell you are talking about?

I know, but it's not something I can improve overnight.

There is nothing wrong with the quote as long as you are sure you are the exception of the rule.

But sometimes it is easy to forget that you are excluding yourselves with no reason.

(You guys are not interested in psychology, are you?)

I suspected that was your point, but a) I couldn't be sure seeing as you provded little in the way of explanation and no context, and b) knowing the sterotypical traits of some demographic you belong to and realising you don't posess those traits (or have found a way to alleviate them) isn't so remarkable as to be of note anyway -- it's called self-awareness.

Yeah, it's hardly news. Like engineers having trouble getting a date.

Contrarily:

No, my communication skill is not worse than others!
Permalink Rick Tang

It's no more less worse than other others, either.

I'm actually pretty proud of my self for inspiring the Rick Tang comment = gas thing that Mark picked up on.

I think the actual analogy was about Rick being like a dog that constantly farts in the middle of a crowded conversation.

It's amazing how well it's held up.
