Disney takeover of Pixar
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060124/bs_nm/media_pixar_disney_dcI don't know what I think about this, but the interesting portion is how Steve Jobs would become the largest shareholder on Disney. Coincidence that Apple first started offering video on iPod from ABC, a Disney affiliate? I think he may take the buyout offer if only to leverage Disney and Pixar for Apple.

So, Disney buys Pixar, but Jobs becomes largest shareholder in Disney, and presumably has control over it afterwards?
Maybe Disney movies won't suck so bad after this.

He may well consider a reverse takeover, although they patched up their disagreements caused by Eisner the people that run Pixar aren't stupid and know they've been holding the Disney Corp up for the past 5 years at least.
That said would they really want a pile of loss making amusement parks getting tatty.

Say goodbye to EuroDisney.
Presumably, DisneyTokyo is making money, what with the Japanese fascination with Mickey Mouse.
The land under the original Disneyland in Anaheim is probably worth more than the park itself, but the city/county probably pays to keep it open, for the tax base.
