Philo: I think he's saying he wants Microsoft to admit that IE6 was woefully inadequate with respect to standards compliance, but I agree that using this as the basis for criticism is pretty pedantic.

I've never seen a page take advantage of that "feature" of IE6... is it a common thing?

That's never been a secret. I'd say most of the time it was by design. Bad design (and judgment) but still.
