Chris, based on this:

You are jumping from forum to forum (usenet, forums, whatever) looking for attention pretending you are expert in everything?
At least you are bringing us a lot of fun ^^
So basically...Chris, based on this:
http://www.robotwisdom.com/ai/mckinstry.html You are jumping from forum to forum (usenet, forums, whatever) looking for attention pretending you are expert in everything? At least you are bringing us a lot of fun ^^ Ah, another Chris McKinstry Scholar is born! Your research abilty is astounding. Type my name in google and post the top link. My god, no one ever thought of that!
Alas, because Jorn Barger is THE protoblogger, he will never die and neither will I. I have my own page in the very first blog! And because Jorn is a homeless, obsessive freak, I am in your head now, in far too much detail for you I am certain. Thanks Jorn, whereever you are! Woah... that's the top link? You're slipping Chris. What happened to "the top link for (server.somegovernmentagency.gov) is my site, that means I'm prestigious."
That makes for some interesting reading, I have to say, and I'm now revising my view for the second time in an hour to "Chris is an out-and-out fraud".
"I'm now revising my view for the second time"
?? interesting...what on earth made you think he might not be a fraud? (its not like he hasn't been posting claims without evidence ever since he came to this forum?) I think Mat was taken in by Chris' "I'm smarter than you, so if you're smart, you'll pretend to understand the pseudoscience behind my statements" act.
Initially I thought he was just delusional or had perhaps failed to understand what was actually involved in doing all the things he claimed, and wasn't delberately trying to mislead -- he genuinely believed in what he was on about, even if it was nonsense, and there were one or two bits in there that lent it a vague air of plausability. Now, however, he's clearly just a shyster out to make a quick buck.
"he's clearly just a shyster out to make a quick buck"
heh, interesting again. Im not entirely convinced *that* statement is true. Im fairly sure he is actively delusional, but overall probably sincere. and *definitely* narcissistic(sp?). hes not stupid, hes got a grasp on the stuff he is talking about and is clearly fairly actively interested in it. There is just a disconnect there, he is not *actually* taking the fairly cool things he has been doing to the next step...he has the database and volunteers posting tidbits for it (are they still actively doing that?) but actually doesn't have anywhere to take it....hes working with other scientific projects..sharing data etc, because they want what he has...but he doesn't actually have the cred to use what he has for himself. Hes kind of like this broken toy, it can go only so far but somehow a disconnect kicks in before it can go any higher. is he *aware* of this disconnect? I think so and I think it confuses him but Im not sure hes actively conscious of it. I bet he is convincing when you first meet him in real life though, most partiularly if you dont know who he is and his background. I bet he is *really* convincing. The 'net isn't his friend, it gives people time to think and share information with each other. |
