Reconciling assholes for nearly a decade.

Sharkfish, get your coworkers to post here.

As Dennis pointed out, they seem to have conversations like those overheard at an auto body shop. I think we need that to mix things up here. All we get here are people whining about war, drugs, and any other conservative policies, which are basically preaching to the choir since only KC, Philo, and I seem to ever argue against you.

Then we have topics like "hugging when you sleep" and "what robe should i get my significant other". This board is filled with men, don't you guys care about the great american football that went on this weekend, or for you brits, isn't the English Premier league in the finals around now? Or the upcoming world cup?

I vote we have more manly discussions here occasionally. That is all, have a Merry Martin Luther King Jr. day.

Yeah, I am starting to wonder about you guys. I always catch some of the football games. ;-P

+1 for Redskins-Seahawks as best game of the year. What would that be to a Brit, Darby vs. Chelsea or something? hehe.

Mind you, there have been a few cricket threads and they were not quite that well received.

"Mind you, there have been a few cricket threads and they were not quite that well received."

Mind you, I also said manly things. Cricket is right up there with badminton and baseball in terms of excitement.

Homophobe.

Also, the last thing sharkfish would ever want to do is have her coworkers post here. First for the obvious reason that she trashes them, second because she'd never want there to be any CONTEXT for any of the shit she spews here.

You are very wrong. There are two people who actually know me, one who I worked an actual job with, who post here. Seriously.

My current co-workers already know I think they are juveniles because I tell them so every day. They guess that I am a homo, every day.

I am one of the few people you will ever know of that doesn't hide much.

Anyway, my current work colleagues are way too "cool" to post to forums. They would never hold such conversations, are way to "red state" to even entertain this board. Everything we say here is offensive to them and would force them to re-think their positions, which they will never ever do.

It was a good one, but I think the Pittsburgh vs Indy game was a lot more nail biting. The series of events in the last two minutes were so astounding I couldn't believe it.

I must also add that people who actually know me know what to take seriously and what to laugh at. I get laughed at/with a lot.

Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about rednecks. We argue openly, and when feelings get hurt, we stop arguing and quit talking about it. Until the next time.

Yeah, who here has ever said to their boss "You are such a fucking red-state stereotype! Put the gun down, trade your truck in, grow some social responsibility!"

The same reason people tell all their business to me is the same reason I get away with saying stuff like that.

I am not so bad to be around after I've had at least one knock down drag out argument with you. Then I forget about it (until next time), and everyone marvels at my ability to distance myself from things and look at the person. I have true affection for the guys I work with, past and present, even if they get on my last nerve, or threaten to fire me.

Which, since I took off today (MLK Day) without warning---I'll probably have to hear about it tomorrow when the boss finally decides to sit me down and "talk".

Yeah, being that I live in Los Angeles, without a team, I can get into appreciating the finer points. I didn't watch much of the Indy game, but how can I feel bad when I watch the last play of the game and "The most accurate kicker in NFL history" misses the post by like 30 yards to the right. Even Manning was laughing.

The Colts should have taken another time out because it seemed obvious the kicker was choking and just wanted to get it over with.

Yeah, Bears, coach of the year, not team of the year. I knew Carolina was going to blow them away, but hey, only by 1 score, nice job Bears, kept it interesting! I don't even know who their QB was that got hurt, they don't get their games broadcasted here very often.

Oh yeah. The Chargers are one-dimensional. So I know before the season even starts that it's all smoke and no fire. ;-D    Shoot, the Redskins have a more complex offense than the Chargers.

I thought Pittsburgh would beat the Colts. Manning is awesome, and almost beat them at the end, but after all that talk about the Colts near-perfect season, I figured that was choke waiting to happen. haha.
